Every human being in this world came into being through the natural process. The process is as follows; conception, the developmental stages of the foetus and finally being born of a woman.
After one is born into the world, he now goes through the growth and maturity stages “… that which is born of flesh is flesh: and that which is born of the spirit is spirit.” (Jn 3:6)
Man was placed here on this earth to develop the four aspects of the human life. (1) physiological (2) Emotional (3) Psychological or intellectual (4) Spiritual.
The Almighty Yahweh our creator expects man to become complete, in other words perfectly matured in these four aspects so as to qualify for his kingdom. This is his ultimate goal for man!
THE NATURAL MAN
According to John 3:6, “.. that which is born of the flesh s flesh…”
The English word “flesh” was translated from a Hebrew word “nephesh”. The Strong’s Exhaustive Hebrew Chaldea dictionary defines the word “nephesh” as follows, a breathing creature, person, soul etc. therefore, “nephesh” refers to the nature of Adam in man. When Adam the first man fell, he inherited sinful nature. From that time, all his offspring are made to inevitably inherit the same sinful nature. This is commonly referred to as “the Adamic nature.”
“So then, they that are in the flesh cannot please Yahweh” (Rom 8:8). The natural man is in no way different from the beasts or animals such as cow, goat, monkey etc. except for the spiritual essence in man referred to as the ‘the spirit of man.’
“For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth the beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preemince above a beast: for all is vanity” (Eccl. 3:19)
This truth about the nature of man is so understood by the patriach Job when he was inspired to say,
“… But there is a spirit in man and the inspiration of the Almighty giventh them understanding Job 32:8
This spirit in man is the only quality in man that places man a little above animals which on their own have instinct. Moreover, they can equally be trained to behave like human beings i.e. natural man, (see James 3:7).
HOLY SPIRIT-A GIFT-NOT PART OF HUMAN NATURE
Remember, this “spirit in man” mentioned by Job is not referring to the holy Spirit. The holy spirit is a gift from the Almighty Yahweh. It is usually given to man on condition. The conditions required before Yahweh gives the holy spirit to man are basically REPEN-TANCE, CONVERSION AND IMMERSION.
“Then Peter said unto them, repent, and be baptized (immersed) every one of you in the name of Yahshua the Messiah for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2: 38)
If a man repents from his sins and evil ways. He must be converted. (Note: to convert means to change from or nature). A new man will emerge within him; he will then receive the Holy Spirit which is the Elohim nature in man! (Ez. 36: 26-29)
A NEW LIFE BEGINS
A new life begins in man, when a man looks back on his ways of life: acknowledges his sins and evil doings, including his inherited sinful nature. Consequently, if he remor-sefully repents and rejects his evils ways. If he would will-ingly acknowledge Yahshua the messiah as the ATONEMENT provided by Yahweh for his sins. His Sins will be forgiven. He will experience a NEW LIFE.
Furthermore, he will believe in Yahshua the Messiah and accept Him as his Savior and redeemer. Yahshua the messiah is the one who brought salva-tion to mankind from the fallen state of man or the Adamic nature. A new born baby from a day old to 12 years cannot repent, because he does not know what sin is; though still under the influence of the inherited sinful nature of Adam. But an adult could.
“But as many as received him, to them gave He power to become the sons of Yahweh, even to them that believe on his Name: which are born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, not of the will of man, but of Yahweh” (John 1: 12-13).
This passage of the scripture simply illustrates the process that actually brings about the new life or Elohim life-and nature in man.
This new life is different from natural birth, ‘not of blood.’ That means, it is not of the natural descent i.e. Being born as a baby by human being, nor of the will and decision of human parents. Neither is it the wish or plan of your parents. But it is a different process altogether. The process is as follows.
- Believing that Yahshua is the Messiah. He is the son of Yahweh who died for you and resurrected in splendour to deliver you from the power of sin, Satan and death.
- Committing your life to Him in full surrender, and asking Him to come into your life and give you this NEW LIFE different from the Adamic nature or the sinful nature you inherited.
When this is done sincerely and earnestly you will; immediately be given power to become a NEW CREATURE.
“But unto them which are called, both Jews and Gentiles, THE MESSIAH IS THE POWER of Yahweh and the wisdom of Yahweh,” (I Cor. 1: 24).
A NEW CREATURE
As you experience this power, your life, a new creature emerges in you. You are now ‘IN’ the messiah, and the Messiah is ‘In’ you (Jn 14: 23).
When this happens, your life is renewed inwardly. You begin to experience a change in your life. Your character, attitude and behaviour changes inwardly and outwardly in such a way you cannot explain.
“Therefore if any man BE IN the Messiah, he is a new crea-ture, old things are passed away; behold all things are become new,” (2 Cor. 5:17).
This inspired word of Yahweh means that any man must be “IN” the messiah in order to become a new creature or a new man! To be a new man … to overcome the old sinful nature,… to have the nature of Elohim in you and to be able to overcome sin and Satan, you must “BE IN” the Messiah.
You don’t overcome your old nature by doing any of the following:
* Start attending one church, assembly or the other
* Start observing the Sabbath day strictly.
* Nor memorizing and proclaiming the correct name of Yahweh and Yahshua soporifically.
But a new lie is only expe-rienced when you consciously and sincerely accept Yahshua the messiah as the true savior and redeemer of your soul. Make him the master/ruler of your life by believing in him and being ‘IN’ Him.
Why not decide now to be IN the messiah. Accept him into your life today. He will give you a NEW LIFE-you will become a new creature. Do not delay, today is the day of salvation, tomorrow may be too late.
FEED THAT BABY!
Now that you are new, though still in your old physical body a brand ‘new man’ has come to exist in you.
“As new born babies, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.” (I Pet. 2:2). The natural human baby needs milk (food) and water to grow. In the same way, the new man created in you need milk (food)/water of the word of Yahweh in order tog row to maturity.
“Let the word of the messiah dwell richly in you…” (Col 3:16)
THE HOLY SPIRIT
The holy spirit is equally very important in the life of the new believer-this new birth.
“… Yahshua stood and cried, saying, if any man thirst, let him come unto me and drink, … but this spake He of the holy spirit, which they that believe on him should receive…” (Jn. 7:37-39). The new man must have hunger for the word of Yahweh, to be fed thereby.
He must also have a thirst for the holy Spirit by constantly feeding the new man with the pure word of Yahweh and being endued with the Holy Spirit, the new man is dynamically nouri-shed, equipped and therefore matures to glory.
“For in the messiah Yahshua, neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumission, but A NEW CREATURE,” (Gal. 6:13)
